HomeAnne McFaul Reid – Paper Flowers Workshop

Anne is a brilliant sculptor and painter with sold artwork throughout the country. With Anne, students will engage in creative, in-depth projects that integrate the arts with science, math, engineering, and/or other topics that best meet each school’s learning goals. During a residency or workshop, each student will experience art, understand the art form, create art, and connect this art-making experience with other parts of their lives.

For this workshop:

Paper of all kinds can be used to make flowers. Crepe paper has a stretchy versatility, tissue paper has a translucent quality, found recycled papers can be particularly interesting and can tie an event or memory to your artwork much like scrapbooking. We will fold and cut to create realistic or fantastic flowers. We will use floral wire and wooden skewers for stems.
