Travelers Arts and Diversity
Travelers’ Arts & Diversity employee-driven grant program is a signature, award-winning nonprofit-corporate partnership that supports and encourages employee involvement in the community.
Developed in 1991 through a grant from The St. Paul Companies (now known as Travelers), the Arts & Diversity grant program has provided thousands of employees and community members with an expanded opportunity to deepen their relationships within the community that houses the corporate headquarters of Travelers.
In addition, it provides hands-on leadership learning and exposure to the broader, diverse community for involved employees, through the arts and community arts programming, while successfully addressing the business case of the sponsor corporation.
The Travelers’ Arts & Diversity Grants Committee — through COMPAS — grants funding twice a year to organizations that use the arts as a communication tool to broaden and deepen learning opportunities of middle and high school-aged students in Saint Paul Public Schools, and extends participation opportunities deep into the community. Preference is given to organizations that benefit financially disadvantaged youth in the East Metro area.
