John Minczeski
I have worked in the COMPAS program since 1975; and was a founding member of The Loft and S.A.S.E.: The Write Place. I have an MFA in poetry from Warren Wilson College and work occasionally as an adjunct professor at Macalester and other colleges. My fourth collection of poems, Circle Routes, was winner of the Akron Poetry Prize, and my most recent book, A Letter to Serafin, has just been published by Univ. of Akron Press. He taught me how to write a poem so it can be easier for me. And now it is.

John Minczeski...had a true knack of tapping the exceptional in students. He was sensitive to the range of emotions which surge from ninth graders. It would be a pleasure to invite this talented writer back again and I most certainly recommend him to others.
