Deborah Elias Danza Española

I have been sharing flamenco with K-12 students and adults throughout Minnesota for over ten years through COMPAS, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra's Connect Program, and Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre and School. I am also a member of the Minnesota State Arts Board’s juried Arts in Education Artist Roster. I perform and choreograph with my own artistic endeavor, Deborah Elias Danza Española, as well as with guitarist Michael Hauser and Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre. I travel to Spain regularly to study with flamenco masters and experience flamenco culture.

My philosophy is to encourage students to celebrate the uniqueness among individuals, risk the unknown through improvisation, and open themselves to unfamiliar and diverse art forms and peoples.
